lmaooo i wish a serious class a***ysis would be done on these protest rather than one side claiming it to be working class while the other claims it’s pretty bouergious, id like an actual break down on it. got a link to the washington post article ?

i don't think you're probably going to find a clear reliable marxist breakdown because the division among class on these issues aren't intrinsically tied to anything of the sort.
I'd say this is since the protest isn't really in light of economic issues, but rather culture war ones which fall on a kind of vertical variety of class than a horizontal economic solidarity - trying to backwards apply that to class a***ysis is going to be too stricken by the biases of the writer on non-material derivative issues.
Whether or not it is or isn't a worker's movement ends up being arbitrary because what they're fighting for isn't anything undermining economic organization; even in context of far-right politics this is applicable - if the canadian government outlawed mask/vax mandates, all of these people would basically go home. None of them are actually holding out to "save the white race" or "expel globalism" or something like the far-right is salivating over either. I think giving this so much attention and thought is kind of a waste of time. It really boils down to "yeah there's workers here but the issue isn't related to working, whether it is or isn't a worker's movement doesn't matter because the movement has nothing to do with work structure, so unless you're trying to wax over your own moral stances there's no reason to intrinsically give it this much thought"

hmmm i see the similarities between the articles but i see some differences like the washingtonpost article seems to be claiming that these protesters are the continuation of settler colonialism while JMP says these protesters and the liberal goverment are both continuation of settler colonialism while the washingtonpost article completely ignores the modern Canadian government .
the question of settler colonialism is interesting as well i’ve seen marxist argue that the settler colonizing is done since you know everything has been settled and modern day domestic imperialism in the west is just the normal extractive imperialism which i find to be intriguing in some ways. Also since settler colonialism makes it easy to argue that white race is the primary contradiction it’s easy as f*** for liberals to co-opt the terms and ignore the class root that settler colonialism has.
I don’t have much of an opinion on the trucker convey since i see it as another culture war bs, but even then id say there would be a class background to most of the protestors that make them more likely to support this. Like the lockdown and ending of government support to the people created a base of angry people that an organization can use for their agenda, and unfortunately this reality it’s over vaccine mandates

settler colonialism as a modern concept is one of those things where in reality if you want to address it you have to work backwards from what you think the solution would theoretically be to see if the original foundation still holds true

I personally don’t have a big opinion on the guy and most Gonzalo thought circles both in person and online I’ve been in have never even brought him up.
I agree with his a***ysis on the convoy.
However, my main criticism of him would be whenever he attacks Gonzalo thought Maoists 90% of what he says is incorrect. Like how he claims we don’t support the peoples war in India.

There's honestly no class a***ysis to the issue in and of itself
You can say forcing workers to take vax is bad
But you can also so forcing workers to work in an unsafe environment with people who aren't vaccinated is bad
Class really only comes into play in how political factions deal with the protests
But neither side of the argument is inherently pro- or anti-worker
