A little bit late as it's now the 3rd of May in Berlin but today marks the 75th Anniversary of the victory at the battle of Berlin, where Berlin fell to the Soviet troops. Six days later Nazi Germany unconditionally surrounded on all fronts, effectively ending WW2 in Europe

I read many works of Marx, Engels and Lenin so far and Mao's Little Red Book, they say I should read Stalin as well
Funny because I'm not a troll but your brain can't comprehend how an individual can change their ideology after doing research.

My gf is a Maoist and she told me to read Marx for the beginning, so I did. I was right wing not a while ago but I know I'm not the only one who went from one side to another.

Is it possible to be both a revolutionary and a reformist? I feel like a revolution is the best way to achieve Socialist society. However, I think it’s clear that a revolution is at least not likely in the near future (next 3-5 years) in the United States.
Is it wrong to get involved in the political system, volunteer to support Socialist politicians and parties along with Socialist parties? To try and find victories where we can through the democratic system?
In my research so far, I see a lot of anti-reform messaging spread by many socialists

the issue is reform cannot be the end goal. an issue is a lot of groups will win a certain reform through organizing but then stop applying pressure.

I do think certain reforms under capitalism are useful but too many wish to stop at those reforms, you're not going to get the means of production from the the elite unless you take it, it's why democratic socialism has never been successful in accomplishing anything that socdems haven't already accomplished
Should I read Trotsky? If yes, which works (other than Permanent Revolution)?
I'm not a fan of Trotsky personally though I think reading his theory isn't that bad of an idea (although Trots today are 🤢), I'm not as familiar with his work as I am with some other Marxist theorists though so I can't really recommend much outside of permanent revolution

Being a revolutionary doesn't mean that you're opposed to any reforma that help the working class within the current system, but that your endgoal is to overthrow capitalism, and through a revolution.
Revolutionaries are not against a higher minimum wage just because it's not a full-blown Communist revolution. (Except for accelerationists lol)
