What wars were there in that time frame
korea was b4 the split but vietnam the worst of it happened after as well as all the s*** in neighboring countries and just general treatment of cuba idk what either China or the USSR would’ve done differently if they didn’t split though but it’s also an interesting question
then u have what happened with gaddafi but that’s a bit crayz too
also generally like latin american countries would they have been supported more by ussr and china allied
that question got me realizing how much history i don’t know

What happened with gaddhafi?
Would no Sino Soviet split and a successful socialist Indonesia have changed the Cold War
Of course
Entire Kampuchea civil war would not have happened, Pol Pot would have not come into power. No insurgency in Vietnam (China supported the rebels), no insurgency in Laos (China supported the royalists).
China wouldnt have turned against Vietnam and invaded it.
China, Vietnam, Laos, Kampuchea and Indonesia together would have put pressure on Burma (nominally socialist) and Thailand and Philippines (both had communists movements) to go red.
No Chinese support of mujahadeen in Afghanistan, of Pinochet in Chile, of UNITA in Angola.
Albania and Yugoslavia would have had a better relation, maybe it would have benefitted both economically and Enver Hoxha wouldn't have gone full bunker mode.
USSR would have had more of a fighting chance to survive and China might not have went capitalist.
Even if the USSR collapses, the Southeast Asian sphere might have survived (as did Laos, China and Vietnam) and we might have had Indonesia, Kampuchea and Burma at the very least turned either Dengoid or go the way of Cuba.
The Sino-Soviet split and its consequences were a mistake.
What wars were there in that time frame
Angola, Mozambique, Afghanistan, Vietnam against USA, Kampuchea Civil War, Vietnam invasion by China, Laos civil war, Somalia vs Ethiopia, Nigeria vs Biafra, insurgencies in Central America to name the most important ones.
Saw an interesting question: examples of small guerilla bands winning a revolution? My only mind could go towards cuba and their application of the focismo theory
What happened with gaddhafi?
im not sure if this is what hes referring to (archived article online from the 70s): theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/08/gaddafi-castro-soviet-union-communism-1973

Would no Sino Soviet split and a successful socialist Indonesia have changed the Cold War
dont kno about the sino soviet split but yes completely to socialist indonesia
imagine if there was a red block from the top of siberia down to the south asian islands
the professed reason america left vietnam is because they "already won" by taking over indonesia s*** crazy
That's a mickey mouse ring, they got carried by the French and Britain was occupied elsewhere
I mean they won by taking advantage of the conditions regardless u feel

oh i misunderstood what you were saying sorry, i thought you were saying there was a split between libya under gaddafi and the USSR
Would no Sino Soviet split and a successful socialist Indonesia have changed the Cold War
Would have changed things for Ethiopia specifically for sure
oh i misunderstood what you were saying sorry, i thought you were saying there was a split between libya under gaddafi and the USSR
i was kind of questioning how things would’ve gone if USSR survived it’s destruction but i mean libya ain’t even high on the list of what ifs if we’re asking that question
Under Capitalism you work to consume under socialism you work to build communism
