What fundamentally makes this different from fascism

I don't think fascism means having your economy turn inwards lol otherwise that means like every sanctioned country is

True. Do you think it’s a mostly cultural thing, citing @cloud_rap saying how it’s light on theory

Fascism is capitalism in decay but it appears when the national bourgeoisie feels threatened by the proletariat so they strike a deal with the fascist element (who often stem from the petite bourgeoisie and military)

Russia is only threatened by foreign bourgeoisie, not its own proletariat, that's a big difference

Balkan politrix are one big clusterfuck ngl

The targeted harassment is insane too, whenever I cross the Bulgarian border I get either asked for some money or they make me open and empty my suitcase

And this is the case with a lot of people lool.

At this point I'm fairly certain nobody wants to get into EU rn,especially because we've been lied to by the West for the past 10 years.
The name change was supposed to be the last hurdle but lol.

Balkan politrix are soul crushing, thats why we have a record population moving out right now

Younger people and millennials dont really care about him, some actively dislike him, tho there is a whole wave of yugo nostalgia from older folk, everyone says they lived better lives back then.

The economic situation is DIRE right now so I don't even blame them tbh,I'm sure life was better then

Still here, finishing up college cause its cheap, but planning to move on somewhere in Europe sooner or later.

Not gonna be Germany tho, been debating whether to go Ljubljana or somewhere in the Netherlands.

But yeah the way people are moving out is crazy, but fully understandable, the situation is just...man

Idk tbh I'm not good at cultural a***ysis. I agree with the usual description of Fascism as an authoritarian response to an acute economic crisis that uses people who react to it in a reactionary way as its social base to crush any labor/left wing movement thats seeking a solution which would jeopardize capitalism. I think psychology and cultural a***ysis can probably tell you why a lot of regular people react to it in a reactionary way (ex: let's invade another country, let's kill all jews, etc) but Idk anything about those fields.

Have some fam in Ljubljana, and the whole country is gorgeous, just visited recently.
I'm sure they have issues too but I'll take them any day.

I've heard that Germany isn't too kind on EE refugees,is that true?

imo one of the best/most successful implementations of centralized and meaningful left policies in an independent post-war country while balancing foreign relationships and concepts in a manner far better than NAM countries tried to do. when i think "post-catalyst leaders who actually successfully led beyond just making cool contributions to theory" i think Hoxha in a similar way to Ghaddafi. I don't agree with everything he did and I understand most criticism of him but his contributions to the country were insane in a short period of time. It's not like Tito where it was just like IMF LOAN IMF LOAN IMF LOAN IMF LOAN, he basically made Albania self-sufficient in a very short period of time while also modernizing the country which is very impressive and something few other leaders have done.
