IMO China and USSR didn't really split over ideological differences, it was just Mao's realpolitik for the most part. The whole ideological justification is just the layer on top of it to explain it after it already had happened, similar to the way Dengists use dialectical materialism to explain their market reform.
It seems Albania didn't get the memo when they split from China, Hoxha I genuinely think split because of ideological differences, which is kinda retärded for a country that already split from the USSR for no good reason. Albania was like the friend who loves their friend more than vice versa and always begged and grovelled for China's support. It would have been much smarter to stay neutral in a way similar to Yugoslavia and to have worked more with other Balkan fellas.
The Albanian irredentism stuff is always goofy. Hoxha was also paranoid of Tito and Yugoslavia, he was not a good neighbor tbh
I see in Hoxha a lot of the negative attributes of historical communism in general
I also think his heavyhanded views on religion were misguided and just created a backlash in the 1980s that helped topple socialism
Also wasting all that labor on bunkers that don't really work
you're completely right about the religion part which is why i mentioned that in my post, had he not done that it's very likely there never would have been enough sentiment to try to topple the party. it's probably his biggest mistake by far

IMO any communist power should separate state power from religious power, okay, but to go all burned earth is harmful for the movement especially in rural areas where more religious people exist. These things take time if u really want people to be areligious (which I personally don't, I think religion is fine). I think Maoists in general try to change the superstructure too fast (cultural revolution) and that just creates a backlash. The USSR also did this stuff in regards to religion and now Russia is more russian orthodox than ever lol
no real order in the subgrouping

Is Trotsky so low bc of being Trotsky or bc of his followers?

Shoutout to Jason Unruhe
David North's real name is David Green and he owns a multi-million dollar business, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't use Trotskyism to oppose unions
The silent rise of conservatism and nazism in Europe is brazy, the consequences in the next 15 years are gonna be insane.

Also organized religion's role in this

One of the few good things Mengistu did is not suppress religion
Tbh Ethiopians are so religious if somebody tried that shyt there'd be a rebellion immediately
