You would know why he behaves the way he does if you looked up who his uncle is

Cenk
ya, I know.
if we’re talking specifically his politics, I don’t see why Vaush is so disagreed with in leftist spaces. I get he’s annoying but like

We don't support NATO
We don't support the US government
We don't support the ideas of foreign interventions and so on
Those are typically more liberal views whereas we are socialists

Oh. Well, I’m pretty sure for the most part he doesn’t the US government or foreign intervention either.

A lot of people don't know AOC got popular because of the Young Turks and Justice Democrats (which Cenk founded)
explain please
I only recall hearing about her cuz she had a cap on her donations for her campaign, only allowing people to donate up to 100 bucks each

Cenk Uygur and Kyle Kulinsiki formed an organization called Justice Democrats to reform the Democratic Party from within
They had ideas like accepting no corporate money
They pushed candidates on their shows who pledged to this movement
They promoted AOC in her primary election in NYC and their online shows was the first time she got a lot of attention and the first big interview she had
Later when AOC became more popular, she ditched the Justice Democrats and acted like they never existed which made Cenk a bit sad
Then the Justice Democrats tried to kick Kyle Kulinski out and I think Cenk Uygur too
Nowadays the Justice Democrats don't really matter anymore AFAIK
They kicked Kyle and Cenk out for old tweets or something just stupid radlib stuff as always

Both of them (or at least Kyle) also basically recanted ever supporting any of the justice dems. Kyle said supporting AOC and the like was one of his biggest mistakes lmao
Kyle has had such a weirdo trajectory. He needs to cool it down on the Saudi Arabia conspiracy theories

Leftist spaces don’t really exist as concretely consistent areas though. Like yes there are places which are “left” but it’s kind of a misnomer. Vaush is a leftist in terms of social dynamics but not actually “left” in terms of political philosophy. The partisanship of the left or right is in the eye of the beholder (not to say there aren’t extrapolations but regardless)
