like let's just look at the statistics in the US
the number of guns in the US is estimated at 120.5 firearms per 100 residents
an estimated 37 to 47 percent of households own a firearm
minus suicides, at minimum 20-30k people died a year from guns (not even counting injuries or attempted killings)
the US averages several hundred mass shootings a year if we're to use the government crime definition of the event
the chance of dying by a gun is 3-5x higher than that of dying through environmental causes (i.e. drowning, a tree falling on your car, landslide, etc.) even with suicides subtracted from cause of death
and you're telling me given ALL OF THESE STATISTICS, there has not been ANY major political violence resulting in a political death? that statistically doesn't even make sense
even minus japan there are other countries with virtually no guns who have a higher rate of attempted or successful political assassinations
