venture capitalists are funding labor unions so they can collect labor due fees essentially as subscription fees as a long term profitability model, like selling netflix subscriptions, and then once the company becomes profitable enough, the investors cash out equity to the unions

Many unions, primarily white collar/office job focused ones and public sector ones (I.e teachers) are already corrupt enough. However it’s mainly systematic and also due to external factors, so I have long been like “well at least it can’t get worse”. Of course I was wrong, it can always get worse, because now a bunch of ed psychopath tech bros want to make unions into epic Reddit bacon marvel film subscription service pyramid scheme

“Unit of Work is making unions decentralized,” Draper wrote in an email explaining his investment. “That will be awesome. Centralized unions tend to restrain trade, and government unions create bloated bureaucracy and poor government service on the whole. Government unions are the antithesis of a free country.

the decentralization good centralization bad strikes again

I guarantee you sometime in the near future you will see Silicon Valley try to monetize things like the family unit in a direct manner. Like tribal subscription fees.

The next paradigm of Silicon Valley and the FIRE sector is going to be meta-monetization. This is why things like Klarna and etc are becoming popular and groups like this want to monetize unions rather than actual concepts or services. You’re going to see stuff like taking out a lease on a lease. Recursive or meta-monetization of things already monetized so consumers can never be locked out of participating

don’t read any whitepapers from FinTech firms on what to expect over the next 5 years, you might not make it another day past that (in minecraft)

I’m just a straight up MLM Third Worldist at this point f*** it people like Emu are emblematic of your average “leftist” in the US. I’ve had to deal with these types irl far too long. I don’t think there’s any hope that the “left” in first world countries can do anything. I genuinely hope things get worse for the ed ass white left in this country because that’s clearly the only thing that gets them motivated to do anything. Trump 2024

  • Aug 14, 2022

You know what’s dumb as f***? People joined our tenant union by the dozens under Trump, (I’m talking 200+ people) and once Biden got elected went ghost

The labor aristocracy white “left” will say they believe Dems and GOP are the same and we need a new way until another dumbass Democrat gets elected then they get comfortable again

he's one of the sxn users i miss tbh. you can say what you want about his views, but at least they were mostly based in him trying to pull on historical and ideological perspectives. even if what he said wasn't always agreeable, i appreciate him approaching arguments in a more rational/logical manner. like you know he wasn't ever gonna be making arguments like marx didn't do enough for gay people or lenin wasn't popular enough for a vogue photoshoot

Oh yea for sure. If you’re going to be against or for something at least be able to have actual sources and arguments and he was able to do that. And when it comes to that German she probably didn’t even give a f*** about Ukraine or it’s politics until it gave her the opportunity to morally posture. Lenin is read and studied throughout the world and most likely will continue to be throughout the ages. Zelensky is going to be remembered for being in vogue while is troops are getting slaughtered not much of a inspiring leader

I will say, I have a lot of respect for your opinions and when I see you have disdain for something it kinda makes me question my stance on it. You’re one of the most knowledgeable posters (maybe on the internet as a whole) that I know so I generally trust your input. That being said we may have major disagreements that I haven’t vocalized in a year but from what I’ve seen most of your world view comes from objectivity rather than emotion reflecting your personal background
