It was not an intervention
The US had war officially declared against itself by Germany and italy

How your family gonna be based and then you support the military alliance that was preparing to reintroduce a right wing dictatorship to Italy in the form of a military coup

Because it’s anti communist

Partisans in Italy were mostly communists though, like in most nazi occupied countries

If I lived at that time I'd be with them, back then there were valid reasons to not want to be in nato and to pursue an independent foreign policy. I'd have wanted Italy to follow the lead of Austria or Sweden ideally, but if not then at least to not join nato. Enrico Berlinguer was a true titan who got many things right.
Nowadays, it's not Gladio vs innocent people vs the Soviets. It makes more sense to be in nato now. Neutrality is a stupid choice between russia and Nato, one of them is clearly a better deal for everyone in it

I meant the GLADIO vibes
Also between gladio and the red brigades, obviously you'd default to the latter if you really had to, but they did also kidnap and murder our democratically elected PM and leave him dead by the side of the road. They can hold shots too
So y’all hate capitalism right? What’s the alternative or what’s the realistic path of change? Or are y’all just a thread of complainers

No you wouldn't, you would be one of the liberals not doing s*** because you're too p**** and not opposed enough against fascism
You wanna larp now as antifascist but in europe the libs were doing nothing to resist fascism in their occupied countries, that was all communists. Of course the moment the fascists were defeated the communists got repressed by their ungrateful ass liberal governments and US backed terrorists. Stop the cap

Not sure, we're still hashing it out. Come back to us in a few weeks.

The path of change is socialism

The choices in Italy were the PCI and Christian Democrats. Assuming I was born there and brought up in a family like mine; I'd be a supporters of the PCI. The demographics make sense. Plus I'm not really a Liberal I'm a soc dem
The path of change is socialism
But how does society transition into a socialism? Do you seriously think that’ll ever happen? Especially since there will always be fresh power hungry men in the world

soc dems are liberals or better put a branch of liberals ever since they broke from the communists

These were the same questions asked by aspiring capitalists and disgruntled peasants in the feudalist age, and look at where we are now. It’s something that is inevitable
As for HOW this happens, it will be something unique for every country. It is up to each person to put in the time and work to see exactly how socialist movements come to fruition. The base of it is garnering popular support through material improvements brought about by the action of socialists (specifically revolutionary socialists)
And there always being power hungry people existing should be something we account for. If we didn’t do it during capitalism, we must do it in the next stage.
