I never said that I’m saying as humans advance, we eventually end up in a capitalist like society. That’s what I think, obviously I can’t prove that cause I can’t see where we’ll be in a thousand years but I know humans. That’s the common denominator. Unless we evolve mentally as a species, we’re always gonna be in a loop

i would say far from it in Canada there’s been bunch of labour strikes, and my uni just set up a general socialist club this year

in terms of leadership i would say yeah, The Maoist youth wing blew up and the Party with it im pretty sure. The Marxist Leninist and Trots had sexual misconduct scandals this year which made them lose a big part of their memebership and the anarchist orgs all just seem dead. On the Maoist and ML part i wouldn’t say their dead the membership that left are trying to create new organizations rather than leaving the ideology all together

If by socialism you mean the bernie type then yeah but that’s due to the limiting factor of elections, it was a necessary failure for people to see that they can’t rely on elections and will have to create new creative paths instead.

Socialism is in a better spot in 2022 than in 2012, 2002 or 1992. But it is not as popular as it was at its peak. However capitalism is in a crisis right now and that will increase more and more. Things happen fast.

We are entering a new era and it's hard to tell what will happen, but the world of the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s will be gone. The new normal will be very different than what we grew up with. It's scary tbh. But the wheels of history will keep spinning

People probably thought clusters of agrarian societies 10,000 years ago was going to be it. Then advancements came. Then people changed. Then structures changed.

Except this time the unsustainability of capitalism will either force us to seek other options on how to organize society (such as communism) or pretty much be taken out as a species as we're facing a Great Filter.
