idk i mean, as far as destruction of very corporate/major company property, i get that, we've had a little taste of that with the protests, I'm not down w the killing because if it gets to a certain point... u know. I get in regards to a true revolution and s\*\*\* thats how it goes... but im reluctant to be excited for something like that as far as the fact the govt is gonna shoot down a bunch of people on the side of the fight i'd consider myself on

The whole point in why I'm wanting to learn more about socialism is because I want people to have a better chance. Violence may increase the likelihood that innocent people to get caught in the crossfire, even if only for a brief period. I don't think that likelihood ought to be taken lightly. It would ideally be people who are fighting willingly that are willing to make certain sacrifices

And of course IK someone could quote me saying thats nothing in comparison to how imperialism capitalism commercial everything has affected people all over the world for the worse but it's still worth being a***yzed.

all in all I'm not so sure it could be accomplished non-violently, but im willing to discuss/think about all possible avenues for progress.

How y’all feel about labor unions

useful in general but can be co-opted easily. many unions just exist to help porky legitimize his BS, paying the union bosses off to accept whatever sus deals they get laid on them. also things like cop unions are a joke. but generally unions are a good way to collectively bargain, we are stronger together than our own so unionization is always a powerful tool

wal-mart got special units to stop any unionizing attempts country-wide, it's hilarious to see it happen. every once in a while it happens and the stores close down immediately or everybody gets sent to vacation there was a thing on the wal-mart reddit a few months ago that had them in shambles and they scrambled to dox people

also they make you watch s*** like this, absolutely dystopian

They were offering payment of medical bills, trips to some s***hole sanatorium, also some s*** for kids(trip to some camp or smth), but I asked and colleagues that worked there longer than me said no one ever gets that s***

There are some previous posts ITT that talk about how they can either be beneficial or not. Like some are doing what they're supposed to do and some are taking advantage

Like in the US, movies used to always portray unions as corrupted by the mob and s*** lol. But that also seems like pro-capitalist propoganda in some aspects

It really does seem to be up to the group of people making the decisions and if they really want better situations for their members
