It is, and yet an establishment democrat is still the nominee. I guess I’m an accelerationist but it needs to get worse

u know how terrible it is that a bunch of people who want pretty much the same s*** end up arguing on the internet that s*** sucks

  • Sep 3, 2020

Dem party is ass but it’s like ya car is breaking down you’re still trying to jump the s*** on the side of the highway until you got a better option idk

There’s a few ppl pushing some good s*** but a lot of their voting records make me wanna piss on their office desk

I get why people are putting their faith in Biden albeit misguided, because DT is so f***ing blatantly horrible that people just want relief. Death is all around for so many people. Fear is everywhere.

People just want some relief and it’ll be a relief when the current pres is outta there, big or small

Bernie was getting alot of the anti-Hillary vote. Bernie was running against 5 people the majority of the race plus Biden didn't have as big of an anti-Biden movement that there was with Hillary.

I think anyone would be false in saying the left hasn't grown since 2016

DSA, PSL, Socialist-Alt have all really grown since 2016. DSA in particular has gained 30-40 thousand new members and thats an organization you have to pay to be in.

oh the left has grown with millions of peoples first exposure politics was with Bernie its mostly likely inspired lots people to achieve these policies

i think their was more sentiment that after 8 years of Obama people were not satisfied from what he did and bernie gave them that extra push while after 4 years trump people just want the old guard back unfortunately

obvs their other factors but overall thats what i think

what's the last positive change related to socialism you witnessed?

Only thing I can think of is just the general conversation getting broader and louder about the failings of capitalism as well as Ed Markey winning (being co-author or w.e of the Green New Deal)

That's not even that direct of a connection so I'm wondering if anything more substantial has happened that you have seen

I'm wondering if older politicians/dems are going to realize that they might be able to save their careers if they adapt to the times and champion issues that seem more relevant to the younger gen.

obviously its painfully slow but we gotta remind ourselves that necessary change can happen in multiple ways and different levels

Sometimes it's tiring watching the world seemingly burn down all the time and i need something to look on the bright side

Yeah ain’t like people were close to starvation in the late 80s because of planned economy
    Also nostalgia
I’m sure there are mfs that are nostalgic about segregation, this makes America in the 50s great?
