Being half Eritrean and half Soomaali, I've been to my fair share of East African forums; whether it's Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea or Ethiopia... and Somalispot is definitely... one of them. I rarely post there since I mostly lurk, but it seems like it's still a s***hole judging by the trending threads, despite having a few familiars there (mostly new accounts tho)

If you knew anything about European Jewish history (I’m sure you do) you’d be aware that for centuries they were prohibited from professions which in older times yielded the greatest wealth (trade/merchants/etc) and were left to adjacent/administrative professions in accountancy/banking/clearing houses.

With the dawn of the 20th century those professions exploded in relevancy and the wealth of Jewish communities worldwide skyrocketed. Pretty sure you can draw the correlation between environmental factors of growing up with generational wealth with the average IQs/academic achievement of a small group of people.

Jewish culture does value scholarship but so does Islam, Hinduism etc. which carried the old and ancient worlds with their contributions.
