The whole science field is hijacked by the profit imperative that its litteraly not in their interest to use all of these new discoveries just because its not profitable but could make life more bearable.
Even if US declares climate change enemy No.1 because of corporate power in all offices of power its not happening.
"No Money can be made" = No way to further our capital accumulation and fester our power.
Renewables would make people more independent and give atleast some years of resilience but naaaaahh we don't want that. Neo Feudalism it is.
The Evil God of Capital (EGOC) is really pushing us full speed into apocalypse.
Everyone shall be a poor peasant and bow down to lords anointed by EGOC.
That's why i wanna leave accounting its too close to the capitalistic system.

Too bad the government knows exactly how to brainwash people into loving this current system for people below the age of 35 i.e hustle culture, individualism, massive consumerism and the dream of building generational wealth. The new american dream is already here and people will pour their soul into reaching the goals this system has planned out for them because it’s easier to settle with that than fight against it. if you have the means, focusing more on your opera training sounds like a good thing to do. none of us will be able to truly insulate ourselves from the coming disasters, but walking a tightrope act between practical skills and art is the way to maneuver I think. foster community, build bridges, all that good stuff. having a strong community is very important atm
