whippet volverseFaygo is signed to Cactus Jack directly, it's something akin to an Indie label signing. You can see a label like TDE the artists sign to different Majors for distribution, Kendrick went to Aftermath/ Interscpope and SZA went to Universal. signing to Cactus Jack the way Faygo did doesn't give him the same resources that Don Toliver got bc he was Cactus Jack / Atlantic, not just Cactus Jack. On top of that, Don was featured on Astroworld, one of the biggest albums of 2018. Faygo had Knock Knock but a lot of people hated that song, and it didn't lead to people that weren't already fans becoming ride or die fans. imagine blowing up off of one of your worst songs its a gift & a curse

Oh yeah for sure it’s not his best song or anything but I’ve never heard people actively hating the song. It was never really a meme song either, just a tiktok trend. Very rarely is an artist’s most popular song their best tho

Sheck Wes not working out is entirely on Cactus Jack. And it makes me wonder whether the rest of the artists are as much at fault for flopping on Trav’s label
Mudboy was solid and still a memorable album for me and I still would love a new Sheck album
