The rest of it is a sham.. candidates pretend to stir drama and put on a show for their hizbullahi fans but the majority of the population aint buying it,, every candidate is picked by the assembly of experts and vetted by the Guardian council. It's some intergalactic elders in charge star war system.... if you support this s*** you approve of living under the watchful eyes of these old boysIt's not the same thing in the public conscience. Soleimani has been venerated for what people see as him protecting Iran militarily since the Iran-Iraq war and also Iran's fight against ISIS. Of course he supports the regime beyond that as well, but he's mostly remembered for those military operations that were definitely not unpopular.

It is the same thing in the public conscience though. You are just talking out of your ass. He ain't as beloved as the ayatollah got you to believe. Iranians are more pissed at the ukranian passenger planes dying in retaliation to soleimani's assasination than soleimani's assasination!
