listen man, i love uzi and i still think EA is one of the better rap albums of the decade so far, but man the pink tape is kinda of a let down.

it feels like for the first time in his career, uzi is chasing trends instead of making them with an album that is so obviously WLR/opium in general influenced that ken carson could have said he executive produced the album and no one could have batted an eye ( s*** you can argue that the 2nd and third tracks are rip offs of stop breathing and go2themoon respectively)

another weird thing is that some of y’all brash carti for being surface level with his punk influences for WLR, but yet y’all praise werewolf because bring me the horizon played gatar (no shade to them, but if bringing in bring me the horizon do to a trap metal song isn’t surface level then idk what the f*** is)

i like the album, and it’s clear uzi put a lot of effort into it, but he could’ve done so much better than this. it feels like he took a step backwards to me when comparing this to EA 🤷🏾‍♂️

Pink tape is so much better than EA that it's not even funny.

Pink tape fs has wlr influence, but I think the comparisons is overblown other than like a few songs in the first half. Also to attribute the whole "rage" subgenre to carti and opium kinda wrong, uzi played a part in that sound being built up.

This entire tape is so Uzi to me I don’t even understand people saying this. Of course it’s WLR influenced but these songs are Uzi. Also crazy seeing the change in perspective on EA now that this is out

some of it does sound WLR influenced for sure, but the way he does it with his energy sets it apart from the rest of the rage artists that do it in a lazy way

the real niggas have been said from the jump EA was his best album, it was just the fans who didn’t move on from 2016 that hated it

Uzi is cringe and trash. Gave in and listened to Eternal Atake. Boring except for 1 or 2 bonus songs. You know your music is awful when NAV has the best verse on your 40 song album. Now why should I listen to pink tape?
