I think theres more to being a NEET than not having a job/going to school because if that were the case, retired people would be considered as NEETs.

I always thought a NEET was also a shut in with some sort of social anxiety or mental illness. They hardly leave their room/house and have very little to zero social interaction to people in the outside world. Just because you want to be on vacation mode and do whatever doesn't qualify you as a neet imo.

Lived the NEET life for 1 year a couple years back. It was so fun. Went to sleep when I wanted to. Woke up when I wanted to. Smoked when I wanted to. Got drunk when I wanted to. Had girls over when I wanted to.

It's not really worth it, all that isolation will ironically make you hate people and become incapable of having of proper interactions anyone. Not everyone will have nearly as much self awareness that you've gained by becoming an unorthodox hermit, and you'll find that obnoxious and project a lot of bitterness.

Only pass you get for being a neet imo is if you're having a gap year and saved up money to do smth with your life or are employed and can't find a job despite trying

Being a neet doesn’t mean laying in bed all day. It just means you aren’t in school and working

it might be social media w everyone posting s*** theyre doing in their lives that make me feel bad tbh, everyone seems to be going out and enjoying themselves ya know? idk
