I think you might be overstating the leaks. Especially One Dance, I don’t even remember that leaking
Gods plan snippet wasn’t that big to where he rushed the song lol it was just a rollout. Again I don’t even remember a leak, majority of people don’t listen to leaks and they don’t impact releases like that based on the Reddit dwellers who do
God’s Plan leak was EVERYWHERE bro especially on Twitter lol everyone wanted that s*** so bad

Yes that was after the post More Life drought and it got overhyped but thankfully it did or we might not have got God's Plan at all

Maybe on your timeline of leak nerds. No one else knew until it dropped

It's ok to just admit you didn't know. You don't have to drag other people in it to not feel alone. Let's just be grateful we got it at all
I felt like this was organic. This s*** took off
Like someone else said earlier. Crew was so good it couldn’t be ignored

dam its crazy how much carti has changed and kendrick still hasn't dropped another album lmfao
There's a whole list of songs that were b-sides, songs the artist/label didn't really give a s*** about, that organically blew up because people liked them more than the a-side. DJs didn't care for the main track, people would call in for the flip, etc.
It happened to the Rolling Stones in particular a bunch of times. You Can't Always Get What You Want and Ruby Tuesday were both b-sides that the label didn't want to push. Gimme Shelter wasn't a single at all when it caught on.
Unchained Melody, one of the most enduring and classic love songs ever was a b-side but it just wouldn't go away.

Yeah I remember that snippet had hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube in like a week lol
Surprised no one said this yet. He literally dropped it intending it to be a loosie along with 2 other songs (I believe it was two can’t remember) but it blew up so huge that it’s now a career defining song for him
!https://youtu.be/WrsFXgQk5UIAka his Hotline Bling
I think hotline bling was like supposed to be an ovo radio throwaway and charged up was the main song.
also I remember pharrell happy dropped like a year before it blew up and eventually became unbearable
