Aren’t there vocals all over this album that aren’t his? Or am I thinking of another album?
Nope, Michael recorded all the vocals on Invincible, he was just an amazing singer with a huge range

Got corrected, was the Michael one apparently
No doubt he was an amazing singer though
back when carti got renegaded by a straggler in the group that got sent to store for blunts on the daily
This barely fits the criteria but I find it annoying this CD era Ye beat was given to these guys.

Invincible is a great album

Always hear something like that but it’s more so the fact that somebody more known and connected to Kanye could’ve done it justice. Lotta people see this clip and think Kanye never used the beat lmao

Voice altering as in different person doing some of it right? Because I’m absolutely sure that occurred no doubt on one of those cash grab ones

that's because nobody listened to those niggas after 96 lol they had a hit with po pimp and that was it.
with that being said, ye gave them one of his most underrated beats
Classic you came in at the perfect time
that s*** blew my mind on first listen. back when carti understood that less is more.

it's just vocal effects
MJ's vocal range got a little lower as he got older, the producer spoke about the vocals on 2000 Watts, they process all vocals using it because it’s there and they might as well. It’s standard practice (even it shouldn’t be)
I want your opinion @KingOfPop

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjtp5ZlanA4I really enjoyed this but at the same time it threw me off how many sounds straight from CD you can hear in this. Like obviously that’s the sound of the time, right, but you can hear it clearly in the way the drums sound like a combination of Through the Wire + Slow Jams + All Falls Down. I don’t mind, though, things like that are what make hearing lesser known or “forgotten” cuts from specific eras more fun. The way the sample was used was f***ing godly too.

it does sound like a product of that era and something that's a sibling of the songs mentioned above, but it's still so damn good. i don't view it as a throwaway like some would. for example, this is a throwaway from ye but there's something still special about the beat. it gives me festive vibes. reminds me of the mall during xmas time

was about to post this one for the same reason but apparently smitty is very respected inside the industry
