Michael Jackson did background vocals right after he dropped Off the Wall, didn’t realize he it was him until a few years ago. Post songs that are similar where a big star is doing background vocals etc and most people don’t realize it

Girls, Girls, Girls - Q-Tip, Biz Markie & Slick Rick
Girls, Girls, Girls 2 - Michael Jackson apparently
(Edit: apparently MJ vocals didn't make the final cut? His label were weird tbf, remember how they didn't let him sing on The Simpsons but let him do the speaking voice)
Technically background vocals since he’s not credited right
he should be credited though

Mike asked not to be credited as a feature because he wanted people to recognize it as Rockwells song instead of him getting all the attention for it

Apparently there was MJ vocals recorded on Girls Girls Girls Pt. 2 but it isn’t actually on the record. But they found it and it’s exists.

It’s crazy you posted this bc I was listening to pt 1 not too long ago and heard Q and was like wtf

It's nice to see tbf
Sometimes we never know if artists mess with each other like that & it can be cool to see those moments when they acknowledge each other, so it was cool to hear them together, obviously Q-Tip fits in almost every sound of rap though
E.g. Jay on 22 Twos (Tribe) or on Legacy (Raekwon & Ghostface)
or the Q-Tip & Dr Dre photo from a few years ago
Or even the thing with Kanye telling Fiona Apple he holds her in higher regard than Lauryn Hill

He’s credited on Apple Music so idk what’s going on with that
I feel like this is the definitive song for this

Would love to see more collaboration like this tbh. It kind of is a nice little IYKYK nod that is rewarding especially when you figure it out yourself
