the strong majority of your time you'll be in the open world where the movement is better than any sonic game since adventure 1. cyberspace movement isn't inherently bad; if you learn the stages and understand the small tweaks in how sonic moves, you'll really enjoy your time with those stages. and the learning curve isn't giant. it's just unexpected

@oatmilk From the videos I've seen of people who got to play it early there are a ton of control options you can change to make it much easier for new players. They have options for turning/drifting speed, overall speed, movement in air, etc.

Not to give Sega a pass, end of the day we're still gonna have to see for ourselves how the game controls, but if they're putting in a bunch of gameplay accessibility options for new players and "vets" of Sonic games that can be fine tuned to better meet player needs and the player still sucks...ion know man that is starting to sound like a personal problem there.

I definitely thought it was odd myself. And I wanna say maybe they didn't know Ragnaroks date yet when they set theirs but idk maybe they did. 2 different franchises though. If the game is good and gets good press ppl will buy it.

I'm gonna say this game gets around and 83-84

Will be a few (very few like 1 or 2) 10s and 9s. A nice number of 8s and some 7s and 6s thrown in. I think the consensus will be it's a good restart for the 3d sonic games to build on with some great moments but still some flaws that need to be addressed. Just a guess. I'm rooting for the game to do well though and an 84 would be a good score for sure and cant wait to play tomorrow nigh

clearly they need to make a frontiers 2\. Give it the super Mario galaxy treatment and make it play about the same but a lot harder and more complex. Aside from them wanting to make another actual sonic adventure game, I’m sold.

Most of the fanbase is pretty understanding that the franchise has been a mixed bag.

Most are in love with the characters. Plus, if you love the good games, you don't suddenly stop loving them because a newer game isn't good

my only complaint is the final boss. other than that this s\*\*\* was a joy to play. Reminds me back of playing unleashed on the 360 😿

my thing is that sonic has been such a mixed bag 4 a long time that i stopped putting up w/ it idk how any1 else was able 2 endure that s*** cuz after heroes it felt like miss after miss besides unleashed

hope frontiers is good tho haven't peeped s*** abt it cuz i lost interest a while ago but if it rly looks good then i might cop

The only games I consider to be truly bad are 06, the Storybook games, and Boom. And even with Boom, that wasn't a Sonic team game. And with 06, the ideas were there, it was just unfinished and broken.

Personally don't feel like the franchise is as bad as made out. The vast majority of the "bad" games are usually just middle of the road at worst.

We also have a huge community of fan games
