I swear they did this on purpose to reap the benefits and looks from people seeing if it was fixed. Then word of mouth spreads.

Eh, development time like this costs money I doubt they did it on purpose. Whoever designed the first version was just completely out of touch. I'm all for artistic liberties but that first design is legit just horrific.
