The audacity of Nintendo to charge that much when we don’t even have proper upgraded hardware to run ToTK, smh.

Zelda has been 70€ in Europe since release, smash too, if they're raising prices for all games we'll see It with the next generation. I also doubt all their games will get that price tag cause i dont think people would buy a 70$ mario golf or Yoshi. I guess their biggest games in terms of budget (mario, zelda, smash, animal crossing (?), splatoon (?)) will be 70$ from now on. Hopefully that doesnt mean they'll be 80€ in europe tho

you got about a 3 month interval for if that woulda been a good investment, and a 2 year interval when it would’ve been brain dead

Nintendo barely ever pricedrop their games besides the occasional sale then it goes back up

Games only get discounted agter their gen is over

Theyve been like that since GameCube

But regarding usa theyre still 60 here, but thats full price

All their actuall 1st party titles are 55 to 60 dollars still including zelda etc.

Tbh you can find physicals for 10$/€ off usually even on release day at the right retailer, with older games you can find them even cheaper, and with vouchers you can get 10$ off every 1st party release, and with physicals retaining high prices it could be worse, but i miss Nintendo selects, especially for those games like arms and astral chain that are very niche and could gain a lot of players with that type of discount. Hopefully they introduce something similar this year so i can play some s*** i havent tried yet because of their price.

The 60 dollar price wont be the standard for long at this point tho, now that Sony is able to sell those PS5s i can see prices settling at 70 since companies will start to leave PS4 behind and people are willing to buy games at that price. Its sad and s***ty but just like when games went from 50 to 60, it was inevitable, and Just like back then Nintendo will follow suit. Whether you think the prices will be worth depends on personal taste, value and wage i think, so you cant do much about it. Sakurai has a video about the cost of video games where he says games are cheap for the entertainment they bring and i wonder if thats really the case
