Valentine and I don’t always get along, but they said something about Kronic that stuck with me and honestly may have changed how I look at this.

At first, I didn’t really care about the of Sony moving away from physical games. But I think I was being too dismissive of people who might be financially unstable, broke, people who rely on reselling games, or people who simply want to own the original media.

There’s also the preservation side of it. Games can get updates that remove content, or publishers can decide to delist them entirely, like what happened with Forza Horizon 4. Once that happens, digital only players like me are basically at the mercy of the platform.

I mostly game on PC now. I had a PS4 where I bought mostly digital, and I had the PS5 Digital Edition during COVID, so I didn’t think about it much before. But on PC, there are at least more options for preservation, pirating for one. Console players don’t really have that same flexibility.

So yeah, I apologize for my earlier post being unsympathetic. I get the concern a lot more now. Thanks

Us environmentalists have been rooting for this for years. No reason for so much plastic waste to exist anymore. 30 year olds shouldn’t be playing video games anyways.
