Anyone notice the background of the site isnt a solid gray colour??? Its a textured grainy grey…
this is the move it seems
Smart move they could do is with a disc you get a digital entitlement that only your account can activate. So essentially there is some way where you can turn a physical into a digital library. Can only be activated once though
The answer is yes.
People care more about things when it physically exists. Not just from the consumer/owner perspective, but the people making the game, film, song/album etc. perspective as well.
When something can just be tossed into the aether of cyberspace it might as well just look like anything/everything else floating around in that space to get lost in. Creators will feel the same way and that's when it just leads to spamming bullshit. It's cheap and easy to just click "upload/download" so the attitude towards a piece of media that exists digitally only becomes treating it as if its frivolous and replaceable.
I wonder if this is enough backlash for them to backtrack lol
Only backlash that matters is their wallet.
last midnight launch i attended was kingdom hearts 3 and that s*** was so rancid i vowed never again
Well I mean normal ppl don't play KH

They'll charge you like $10 for the privilege

“Why are there no more cool album covers anymore?”

That was what the Xbox One was gonna do but they had to backpedal due to the backlash

Physical libraries are the move
Old money vibes
Man it just hit me that retail game stores are just not gonna exist
I wonder if this is enough backlash for them to backtrack lol
Why would they? Lmao they saw people dropping $500-600 on PS5s during a global pandemic. I'm sure they're still seeing people drop $900 on a PS5 Pro when we on the brink of economic collapse lol
it'll be a cold day in hell before a marvel movie ends up in the criterion collection
F*** them then
I wonder if this is enough backlash for them to backtrack lol
They arent going to backtrack lol
I will be honest. The last time physical games mattered to me was scouring around small video game stores in nyc looking for shops willing to break release date and sell early
Still vividly remember playing FF15 a whole 4 or 5 days before release date. So fire
That was what the Xbox One was gonna do but they had to backpedal due to the backlash
Xbox One in many ways was just a decade early in terms of everything it was doing
I wonder if this is enough backlash for them to backtrack lol
It worked for the PS3 store when it was about to close years ago.
Speaking of, I just read THAT’S about to close next year. Sony is tripping man.
Netflix slop on one monitor
Digital EA Sports game on the other
Spotify AI DJ on the Playlist
UberEats arriving in 15 minutes
By the time the ps6 is out people will have gotten over this lol
nintendo is the only good gaming company these days
