Well ok if your console in that expensive then in a fire or natural disaster or something you’d be able to run out the door with it at least, but actually removing all the physical boxes from your bookshelf and carrying them out is not as feasible in an emergency

No you would not. If your house is burning down you're not stopping to unplug your console and grab it

Personally I would lol, my computer too if possible

Again only taking 1 or 2 things on your way out is feasible

Your collection of discs is much less feasible was my point, although you could remove them all from their boxes and keep it in a big binder old school style

~ guy who entered the thread to start arguments with people he doesn't like because they have different opinions about Drake music

You’re the one who first replied to me btw and keep bringing up Drake for no reason. This thread alone is enough reason to prove why you are a bottom tier user and it got nothing to do with Drake cope all you want

So again I ask, should we all own absolutely nothing because of the risk it may burn down in a fire? Who lives life like that?

I mean that’s a bad argument because most stuff doesn’t have a digital alternative

It’s not like you can have a digital couch and digital decorations

A video game collection is something huge and expensive, it would be a devastating loss. Other stuff is more replaceable.

Your issue with me stems from you disagreeing with me about Drake, simple as that

I don't have an issue with anyone on this website who doesn't d***eat Drake

Oh lmfao. Well you’re still good then, it doesn’t need to connect to make sure you own the digital game or anything like that.

You wouldn’t be able to download new games until you’re back I guess, small downside. But on vacation it’s not like you’re bringing your physical collection with you so it’s basically similar drawbacks in that regard.

Playstation does need you to connect to maintain the license/check that you're the main console or it locks you out, at least ps4 used to do that

Books are cheaper so I feel like it wouldn’t be as big of a deal if you lost them, like I took 100 books to Half-Priced Books (who buy your old books) and they gave me like $5 for all of them lol. The actual resale value is nothing so I wouldn’t weep over that.

Do you base the way you value things on their resale value?

Games are only super expensive at launch. After a year or so you can easily get a physical copy of a game for $30-$40, and even less past that

No but the point of this discussion was that losing a video game collection is a huge amount of money, and digital protects you from losing that huge amount of money.

Losing a collection of anything is a huge amount of money, that's not exclusive to games

    WHAT

On digital joints on ps4 I remember this happening, like you could play for 15-30 mins and it would be like "we can't connect to check the license" and it'd boot you out. I think it happens if you've ever used your account on more than 1 system

Only if the Internet was f***ed up

anyone with a proper collection of anything should properly insure it
