SoundCloud has announced that it will be laying off roughly 20% of its workforce due to recent changes in the economic and financial landscape, as noted in reports by Billboard and Variety.
In 2017, SoundCloud laid off nearly 40% of its workforce in an effort to “control” its “independent future.”
Looks like they are finally in the throes of death. I know they caught a second wind a few years ago but don’t really see them as relevant when people can post thier rough drafts on Spotify or AM
Anyone still using soundcloud? I Know band camp is great for smaller artists and that intimate bond, and bandlap has the novelty of being a music making platform, don’t really see anywhere for SoundCloud, especially when youtube music will let you find most loosies
