Ok sit back and relax bc this story kinda long.

So ur probably familiar with SGP and A$AP’s beef, and u might even know that it originates from when Bari got mixed up in something and Raider Klan ended up accidentally jumping him at Rolling Loud. He was never the intended target, but he couldn’t let the incident go.

Anyway, after getting kicked outta ASAP and losing a lot of mainstream appeal, SGP was down bad. It wasn’t over yet tho, bc he was planning on making a comeback in ATL. He moves to Atlanta and starts sending beats to rappers there, trynna develop their skills. It’s kinda easy for him to reach out bc a lot of these dudes (even Carti) used to stan SGP, so they actually check out the beats and work with bruh. SGP puts out a lot of his weirdest, darkest s*** this era. He’s really close with Goth Money Records and his two closest associates are Thouxanbanfauni and UnotheActivist.

From this era, we get tracks like these:

Its looking up for SGP, he finally has a home in the ATL underground where mfs respect him. He cares less about the ASAP beef and more about his homies.

Then, A$AP mob decides to hop on the ATL underground wave, and so Bari goes down south and checks out the scene. Once he realizes that SGP is kinda a central cog in this system, he gets kinda mad. Bari finds a way to turn both Fauni and Uno, who are like nephews or even sons to SGP, against him. Suddenly, nobody wants to work with SGP anymore. He even tries reaching out to newer artists like Lil Yachty, but even Yachty gets manipulated by Bari and ASAP.

What’s really kinda sad is how A$AP didn’t even really do anything with these dudes once they left purrp. I mean zero career development by Bari at all. In fact, I’d argue that the underground has kinda gone downhill since Purrp left ATL. It’s like Bari cane and f***ed up a whole scene, ruining dozens of careers, just to get back at Purrp for accidentally jumping him.
