Damn, bro
I teared up
something about it felt jarring at the time. guy next to me absolutely was bawling so i figured it was just me
seeing it again in a hour so maybe i feel different
lol feels like have her say something she said to peter but different from the original memory we have seen replayed to Peter. That moment was kind of mixed. I get it though that moment plays on grief.
I dont know if any emotional scene in this movie fully landed for me.
only emotional moment that hit for me was when he left the party. i genuinely felt that s***
aint gonna lie, i was not feeling that aunt may and jean scene at all. maybe on the rewatch it hits different but idk, s\*\*\* did not connect for me
She's a waste of a villian icl

Nah it was kind of just mixed. It was applying a generic message to someone else. Its like if your dead loved one said the same exact thing they said to you to someone else when they needed to hear it. Leads to mixed results . Bit of manipulation same as the gwen stacy death homage with MJ
It was so corny eye rolling especially after calling him iron boy that they did the same exact thing as Iron Man 3 ending
its like we clearly know he’s returning but would’ve liked them to leave off on an actual cliffhanger
put avengers and some dots or something, anything but what they did
no mid credit scene is annoying too
end credit scene such a waste to wait for. got leaked but expected them to add a bit more to it than that. there was multiple things they could address in a post credits scene. Hulk, Jean Grey, bit more of a doomsday tease. felt like they were going to do no tease then last minute added one
The 2nd fight with Scorpion has me hyped for whenever we get him in the black suit

Didn’t like that either, but switching to Peter midway saved it a bit. Just wish there was a brief 1 v 1 with them two then have the moment.
Trying to see Jean get busy with her power boost
I'm not mad as I thought I'd be not having JJJ in this movie
Next movie, he HAS to work at the Daily Bugle with the theme of getting his Peter Parker life off of the ground based on what he learned in this movie + having the symbiote, maybe seeming as though, with it, being Spider-Man is now easier than ever
Hmm I don't know how to feel on first watch
Thankfully it's not overstuffed like SM3 (which is a complete mess). I thought there'd be multiple villains throughout but it's mostly focussed on Jean Grey and then DODC at end.
This felt like a mix of the MCU style and a usual 2000s Superhero movie in a good way, specially in the way it looks. I love how lively it looks. I feel like 90% of all movies coming out these days feel flat and look like they're made specifically for streaming but this is far from the case over here.
The Spidey action was great, I wish some of it was kept hidden from the trailers, I think the Hand could have been hidden completely and it would have been a great surprise.
Just wish some of the action scenes were longer, felt like the Hulk fight could have been longer.
The suit looks fantastic for like 95% of the time and the webshooters looked amazing, sad they're gone but I have never hated organic webbing so I'm not super mad.
I'll never get the Zendaya or Ned hate, I love their chemistry with Pete and so did the audience I watched it with.
I think the movie handled his relation with Zendaya very well and left them on a great point, allowing Peter to move on but still reconcile with her at some point.
I think people here who hate on Ned haven't been in highschool for a long long time, I feel it's more likely for someone like Peter to have a friend like him lol.
Liked the mystery elements, very unique for a Spider-Man movie.
I don't get why people were saying Sony is stupid for keeping Jean Grey hidden, I thought it worked personally.
Onto the negatives, I thought the movie's pacing was a bit awkward and the movie overall was kinda messy. I'll know more on rewatch.
I'm personally just not a fan of X-Men, have given them a shot multiple times but I just don't like those losers so I don't like Jean Grey being a prominent part of this.
It's funny people were complaining about him being Iron-Boy (absolutely braindead take and only repeated by morons) for his villains' backstory having some involvement by Tony Stark, and now they actually made an X-Men a major character in this and their villain, the main antagonist.
On the first watch, I think Homecoming is way better than this, not sure how the others from home series stack up yet. Loved the direction by Destin, sad he's doing a stupid Naruto movie and we'll have to wait a while for a sequel.
The movie and Peter here have a lot of heart which made me really happy, despite it's few faults.
The copaganda pissed me off in this
He truly worked for the police
. He doesn’t need to be anti cop but it was a bit much him coordinating for police and dodc . Forever thinking of the civilian who got hit by a car while Jean was controlling him . As well as the whole city at end that lead to car crashes . Jean being so demented kind of justified mutant hate in a way that I don’t know if it’s best starting point for x men in this universe or jean
That's Marvel man. In film at least.
Cop and military hopefully dc and dcu better on that
Damage Control basically got a private army all dressed in black and then got a bunch of scary evil red ninjas running around and Peter is like that is probably nothing.

He looks suspicious of it early in movie but whole movie he riding with them because Jean evil beyond belief . S*** reminded me of Jessica jones season 1

Was like him being at his own funeral and seeing New York loved him . Never felt like they hated him this movie though
The 3 moments that got the biggest cheers were:
1. Pete removing the inhibitor and going Super Saiyan on those Ninjas
2. Ned Handshake
3. No Banner. No Girl. Only Hulk.
Then the Thor and Steve moment from the Doomsday trailer
