think the montage super speeding through some of what deserved more times . Compared to the Jean Grey intro which was going in slow motion with the reveal of everything about her when it was like okay we know its Jean Grey and that she likely is trying to get someone she cares about .

Frank and Pete had more chemistry than him and Tony

whole time it’s just a story about bros before hoes 😭

I said that to my girl just now when we got out the theater lmfaoo but it makes sense cause they grew up together versus MJ being introduced as a real person at the end of Homecoming

People saying that this wasted a Spider-Man movie entry or complaining about there being other supe characters really confuse me this s*** was genuinely what it’s like to read a comic. Yeah hulk and Jean grey and punisher can be side characters in this spidey story cause they’re all in the same world i didn’t feel like they set up X-men at all tbh, felt more like they wanted to show Jean as a character of her own rather then build toward something else, and that makes sense tbh cause just cause they are connected to something else we know doesn’t mean it becomes that. Same with punisher not bringing up daredevil even though they intersect the most. I really love that spidey felt central and this was really just a long ass week for him. I love when hero stories are just what they’re up to at that moment in time, not everything has to go into saving the world

yeah this felt like a true adaptation of a comic and even the 90s TV show honestly. These movies are so elite when you stop comparing them to Raimi movies that came out over 20 years ago lol

  • thats how u kno peter is goated in mcu

She probably killed that nigga in the helicopter

What I love is that this very much felt like a Spider-Man movie that happens to be in the MCU vs the Home trilogy was “holy s*** Spider-Man is in the MCU”

Like having Peter reach out to Yelena and Bruce for help works so well. He’s a hero in a world of heroes, like no s*** he would look to others for assistance.

I also felt Frank worked so well, and I was slightly worried how he would translate to PG-13 but it worked

You don’t know how badly I wanted him to pull up on Matt when his senses were overloading

  • Prob the strongest movie this phase next to thunderbolts, felt more like a Jean grey movie more than a Spider-Man tho imo

  • The Jean/May got me

  • Man after all the pain that Peter has gone through, I hope his story ends with him being with MJ, hope they at least give him that

  • crazy good

  • its time to have the conversation with the people that act like they love the comics but at the same time hate on everything that makes this feel like a comic

Probably my favorite tom holland Spider-Man film but these mcu spiderman movies still feel so satinized to me for some reason. The mcu film style is too homogenized for me to feel like it really sticks out.

Also I know this is the nature of the mcu but it feels a lil meh that the movies antagonist is a set up for other movies. Spiderman will never just have his own contained story in the mcu. Like winter soldier characters like Bucky and Sam were used in other movies after it came out but it still felt like its own contained film

  • I did really find the idea interesting that Peter Parker is responsibility for the technology of universally power dampeners. That s*** will definitely come back around for the x-men movies

Bruce banner was looking at him like “you fr fw eugenics or sum?”

I think the thing that’s (logically) different about Spider-Man is that he’s sort of in the hub of the whole MCU, that’s his turf that he’s, for the most part, regulated to.

Most of the other heroes are globetrotting (both on Earth or literally trotting from planet to planet), so they could be thousands, or millions upon millions of miles away from any of the other characters.
