no way home is kind of a double edged sword cause looking back it just kind of highlights how bad the mcu spiderman movies have been

i wish marvel would get a better grip on spidey tbh, hoping the next trilogy is a little better but the fact they cant seem to find a characterization for him besides wacky and kid. like don't get me wrong those should be parts of it but its just weird to me that hes been spider-man for like 6 years now, and apparently had no impetus for it ? i guess we'll see if uncle ben's in the origin story series, but so far these other movies make it seem like he's spider-man...just cause he likes it? or that its cool? idk

the weird part about all this s***, is that the excuse is always oh peter's 15 etc, but we have ultimate spider-man, and it portrays peter at 15 being a normal thinking human who's capable of solving complex problems by himself. its so f***ing weird that marvel doesnt just straight up adapt it considering the early mcu stole entire sequences from the ultimates
