I work at a movie theater and we had ONE person for a showing of West Side Story the other day. All Spider-Man showings were sold out. Movie theaters need to make money too, especially in these times

Nigga we know there is demand but 12 showings a day vs other movies 3 is overkill especially continuing into this week. If you actually look at tickets for some of those showings they are near empty . Check in your area . Spider man will be in theaters longer than any of its competition

A lot of what is cgi in this didn’t need to be . Like unnecessary green screen of everything lol

you think it's unecessary, but in reality shooting on location/open air sets is a lot more expensive and comes with more obstacles especially more so with covid.

cg artists are given the best clean plates possible (green/blue screen shot footage) but not given enough time sadly. time and care taken over the cg, and you wouldnt notice it half as much

The biggest weekend at the box office (the entire top 10 combined) during COVID prior to this was $125 million).

So Spider-Man doubled the previous total weekend record on its own, and made 12 times more than the next 9 movies this weekend combined.

Based on a numbers game it makes total sense that Spider-Man would have significantly more showings.

I wouldn’t mind if it was delayed. I’m actually surprised how consistent they’ve been with dropping Spidy every other year
