I honestly thought the movie would feel so good I would want to run it back off the hype and reviews but no not at all
I felt the opposite

Tobey was the main reason everyone was hyped and they did his CGI the dirtiest
Lol Snyder cut ruined a lot. Garfield bring sonyverse spidey isn’t bad though
Snyder cut saved movies*
Aunt May
Now that I've had a chance to sleep on it, some of my thoughts
This movie made me appreciate Andrew as Spiderman a lot more. He was never my favourite but he seemed happy to be back in the role. Tobey was great too but you could tell he'd changed and grown up, whereas Andrew hadn't missed a beat. Him explaining his anger after Gwen's death made me wish we got an ASM 3 where we could see him grieve over her. Andrew saving MJ was perfect and I'm glad he got his scene.
Glad we had a scene of all 3 Peter's in the lab and showing the scientist part of their characters. Don't think we ever got that previously aside from a few mentions
Willem f***ing DaFoe as Green Gobin
my man was in his bag the whole time. The apartment fight scene was insane. Truly the GOAT Spiderman villain and he didn't disappoint
Sad to see Aunt May go but her death + the hard reset on Peter's life was IMO the last bit that they needed to make Tom feel like a real Peter Parker/Spiderman. It was nice seeing him as a major player in the MCU and interacting with the Avengers but it always felt like he couldn't stand on his own without them. Now he's got that broke boy/street level vibe to him that we all love and a comic accurate suit to boot. We literally got an origin trilogy and I'm not mad at it in the slightest
I think the only thing I disliked was the middle section of the movie where Peter tries to 'fix' the villains. It was kinda frustrating to watch because you knew that s*** was not gonna work
I don't know what it was either but watching the 5 villains interact in the cave was really goofy at first, I wasn't sure if I was gonna like it but things turned around luckily
Did they really bring in Tom Hardy just to zap him back into his own movies?
I've seen a few takes that this movie was just nostalgia bait and leaned too heavily on that. I let that s*** wash over me. This was a treat and then some. Sure it was corny at times but I feel lucky to be watching this and that any of this even came together like it did. Couple years ago this was unthinkable but here we are. I'm a satisfied Spiderman fan and I won't forget this for a long time.

are these ratings like actual movie ratings or like relative to other comic book movies

50/50
Like I know Venom is bad but I had so much fun with it
Haven't seen Spider-Man a second time so I haven't really judged it. First showing was the fanboy showing if you get what I mean
But to be honest I've missed out on a lot of awards/prestige movies because I'm kind of limiting how much I go to the theater. Plan on catching up before the end of the year
But like the only movie on here that might break my top 10 for the year is Spider-Man which again is subject to change
most random s*** ever what lol
She probably got a ktt2 acct based on the depth of these complaints

That is ONE thing that kind of threw me off
Like for 3 movies his suit was mostly practical and you could def tell it was CG here
Tbh it looks like a screenshot from Spider-Man Ramastered here
when he said "its complicated" I had to roll my eyes. I knew that b**** MJ was trifling again back home
Cape s*** can’t stop winning
