Strange wasn’t messing with time though, he was messing with memory, a very specific memory.

Also neither Spider-Men actually killed their respective villains, they killed themselves.

The closest Spider-Man ever came to killing anyone was when Raimi Spider-Man scared the dude who he thought killed his Uncle Ben so much that he fell out the window of the abandoned warehouse.
