I agree totally. seemed like blockbuster Disney writing 101 to have a likeable human character experiencing it all through the audience eyes but they said go away human let us do boring stuff on our own

Biggest thing this movie left me wanting is an amazing spider man 3 and Spider-Man 4
Am excited to see Tom’s spidey grow into a man but Tobey and Andrew need closure

I think you're right. He definitely helped make the film feel a bit more accessible but that's directly bc halfway in and I am enjoying it but can FULLTLY admit that these performances are DRY

Now I think that's a direct result of the way they were written and not the tones fault.

Seeing Tobey again was just great man almost shed a thug tear. The chemistry between the 3 spideys was great too, really made me appreciate Garfield a little more.

That fight scene where Goblin WHOOPS Peter's ass was GREAT!!!!
