i dont buy that argument. it'd just be a different movie. its not at the core of what Scorsese is interested in as an artist.
what i find interesting anout the story is how white supremacy and fascism can induce stupid people to murder their own families. their actions are obviously monstrous from the outside perspective, so there's no drama there. but the point isnt to just show them as villains, but as easily manipulated dumbasses.
this has been scorcese's thing since at least raging bull/taxi driver
wanting it to be something else is like wanting the shining to be a mystery movie
Figured it was only a matter of time too before they started setting up these Spider-Verse spinoffs, is it gonna keep the same animation?
It probably won't get made tbh
Plus, the idea of appropriating punk aesthetics for corporate slop
(yes i am a hater)

i just wanted more brown people on screen and to hear their stories from them
i get what you saying but to me that didnt make it a good movie i was very bored it felt very indulgent and although well shot not the movie i wanted was hyped for it as well as love his earlier work glad u enjoyed it tho
