Chubby GambinoFinally watched this. Amazing movie, but I think I prefer the first one by a very slight margin. I didn't like the structure of this one, it just feels like a placeholder between the first and third one. Movie was too long and it felt like it didn't have a clear villain for most of it. I also didn't like how the animation styles and colors constantly changed between scenes, it was distracting. Still a very brilliant movie, it's just like a 9/10 while the first one is a 9.5/10 imo
If I was in Miles' shoes, I'd let my pops die. Doesn't make sense to doom an entire time line over one life
pacing was def a bit off for me.

Dec 11, 2023·2 repliesYou know… I did not love this movie as much as it was hyped and praised. I thought it was decent, the alternate Miles bad guy was kinda lame and generally underwhelming. The ending felt abrupt. I would’ve been upset if I had seen this in theaters tbh.
Imma rewatch it and see if I still feel the same. I do prefer this depiction of Miles & his family over Insomniac’s Spider-Man.

I’m really surprised that that cliffhanger bothered so many people, but I always knew this was a trilogy so it didn’t bother me really
Also I think the end twist is great

I think Miles needs better villains. His rogue gallery is severely lacking. Evil Miles is just lazy n lame imho. If he had a more robust villain pool, then yea sure. But as it currently is, it’s just underwhelming.

Idk I think it’s too early to know what their plans are for “evil” Miles
I think he’s going to be much more than a generic villain. There’s a lot of story potential there for a Miles that was raised by Aaron instead of Jefferson

I thought it was a pretty clear setup for an edgy antihero Miles
They probably fight and be rivals for the first bit but they’ll team up and help him take down the Six while also getting home
add in his Uncle Aaron dying and it’s pretty easy to see

Game Miles is a better Spider-Man/Superhero while movie Miles is an all around better character
Movie Miles feels like he doesn’t really do that much heroically so far
