I guess the stylization helps people disconnect from them being human and children but then again that contradicts my take on Euphoria

exactly anime often gets critiqued for sexualizing children yet stranger things, big mouth, euphoria and every coming of age story deals with the same thing. I know its a darker topic and veers far from point of topic but its part of why its good to avoid love and romance too much in cartoons. yes our favorite cartoons had arnold obsessed with helga, peter parker Mj to a degree, batman black cat and more but it all felt less h**** back then

it’s kinda strange that by the character’s ages in some of these stories that any s***scene would technically be considered CP.
for instance Otis is 17 in s***education and yet the show constantly shows s***scenes with him included in them.
The actor himself Asa (who portrays the character) is 24 though.
Kinda strange tbh

I know thats where it all gets so
cause we are having adults play kids in either cartoon or live action form. s*** raimi trilogy same way but again heartwarming love or non infatuation has worked better sometimes. Sometimes not
I feel creators and writers just got to be careful especially in a society that claims to be so against the idea that youth is associated with beauty

and people wonder why there’s so many predators interested in younger targets.
Society normalizes this kind of interest, it’s disturbing tbh

Nah the cartoons back then were h**** too just less overt like that. They had s*** like Poison Ivy / Harley Quinn blatantly being lesbians in front of us, some s*** in Courage The Cowardly Dog. Pepe Le Pew rapist ass, Bugs Bunny cross dressing and seducing Elmer Fudd.
These newer cartoons are just more crass
Not possible since the spidey on the right is completely gonzo from rights being split apart from the different companies involved lol.
I think the one on the left is possible since it was FOX?

But all of what you listed found a way to more make it funny or weird outwardly and clear that it was like weird lol in a way
I guess when you combine the internet with everything it only intensifies

I might sound like a prude for saying this @ShintaroKago but there’s this manga I read called Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad which is a coming of age story about a kid obsessed with music.
There’s a plot point where dude has s***with the girl he’s in love with but instead of just showing it, they imply it with the girl staying over and them changing clothes or some s*** I don’t remember.
I feel like when it’s shows dealing with teens they should handle it like that

I dont like the spiedy on the right

Nah only the Looney Tunes ones made it funny the other ones were played straight tbh

Oh, now I know not to take your opinion on any Spidey seriously ever again

Implied fine I just kind of get to the point of why show it. Like show that a character has a crush on someone based on how they act nervousness spidey sense all the tools you have at your disposal rather than drawing her and she sees drawing instantly. But I mean I refuse to judge it so early but my point simply is make the audience feel it even though yes we felt or knew they had possibly chemistry first movie. Just like secret identities have weight so should love interest and how it ebbs and flows with not everything being perfect or not "they break up they get back together end of movie better than ever"

wait i thought we was talkin about the horniness in shows in general? This about Spider-Verse??
Y'all actin like Miles was like "lemme eat ya ass"
Agreed
but I mean this looops back to what I said earlier they even sexualized the kids from stranger things so
Billie Ellish wore baggy clothes and they was waiting til she turned 18
My larger point is what happens to a society so consumed with nostalgia and for some their childhood that it creates loops like this
wait i thought we was talkin about the horniness in shows in general? This about Spider-Verse??
Y'all actin like Miles was like "lemme eat ya ass"
To an audience that basically wants to see that it dont matter
Oh, now I know not to take your opinion on any Spidey seriously ever again
I joke I am 29 though so I never really watched it start to end. Saturday morning cartoons was sonic and kirby, toonami, ultimate muscle never made it to that spidey all respect to him
