Overwhelming. 

I teared up almost instantly. 

A pinnacle of superhero storytelling. A pinnacle of animation.

I mean, I knew the animation would be cool. What I did not predict in the shading was the pure beauty, and emotional depth.

Truly, there’s so much passion and perfectionism here. 

Some of the best performances of the year, entirely through voice work.

It feels good to go to the movies and get your face melted.

I wish more movies ended like that.
It feels like a comic book.
And it made the pacing a breeze.
It felt nice to not have to deal with some huge third act.
Empire Strikes Back did the same thing, this ain’t new.

Jason Schwartzman works surprisingly well. The Spot is just so sick.

I might’ve missed a few ones, it was really just tough when they switched languages. Like I don’t know Spanish or Italian anyway but I couldn’t even hear the words sometimes

Spidey has been my superhero franchise since like 3-4, was playing the s*** on this little CD-ROM game. I think it’s the pre-eminent superhero franchise of this millennium and this is the best spiderman movie

Searched Twitter and came here like 10 min in to my screening cus I noticed as well. It wasn’t that bad tho for us you could still hear everything just was noticeably lower

Feels like I was the only one in the theater to catch it lol everyone else acted normally. Even I did as well after a bit cus I got locked in to the story

Spirited Away pretty much broke the mold and every nerdy animated film since unfortunately has to be related to it in some way, but I feel like this is how folks who watched that in theatres felt. Like you didn’t watch an all time great animated movie, you just watched a great movie
