If Oz Corp is not in Spider Man 4 MCU y'all going to hate me
oscorp gonna have to be a tiny s*** ass tech startup to follow timeline since it didn’t exist in nwh unless norman didn’t actually give af about finding it or harry
gwen's universe's art style is just amazing
That first 15 mins blew me away I was like are we really seeing this type of visual style in a mainstream movie and the theater is packed. I have a rule of thumb if something is able to keep its artistic integrity challenge themselves and the audience and have a mainstream appeal it’s perfect. Like the Beatles so there for I say the across the spiderverse was perfect
No goblin yet in games either like you don’t have to have him be joker level but he is better connective tissue than mcu forced things . I mean he fought Tobey goblin but
Harry is mentioned in the sm2 gameplay vid

Hot take: Dafoe Norman and Ultimate Norman >>> modern 616 Norman. They actually have a pathology that drives their villainy and outlook rather than a surface level Joker v2

Have you read the spidey 2099 run, and worth a cop if so?

Like some of his first arc ever but nothing beyond. And it’s a good time capsule for the more edgy period of the 90s and a good futuristic take on Spidey tropes

As a matter of fact: Dafoe Goblin is the best iteration of the character ever, and this is from a lifelong super Spider-Man fan that’s read almost everything starting with Lee and Ditko

Okay so more of something to read out of interest vs being an actually well-written story would Ultimate be a better place to start then? I haven’t properly read comics in years, familiar with Stan lee and JMS runs but nothing seriously beyond that

Bendis and Bagley on Ultimate Spider-Man is arguably the greatest piece of Spider-Man media ever and the ideal entry point for any Spider-Man fan

Bet! will run that and then miles’ arc, I know it’s highly-praised but sometimes can be overwhelming to know where exactly to start appreciate you

Ofc
Seeing this later today
I rewatched the first one yesterday, gotta say I didn’t love it
Very simple straightforward plot and is carried by style more than substance
Still a generally good movie but yeah
Hope the sequel is a little more impressive which it seems like it will be
Damn I’m about to see this a third time aren’t I
Too bad imax is gone Monday
