you're not supposed to look up to Nino Brown tho. Spike is out of touch and has been for awhile.
Why can't I, he was passing out turkeys to the whole hood.
For real tho, the Nino Brown comparison comes from what he says on the stand. He points out that there are no poppy fields in the hood or uzi manufactures. That there is a bigger negative that the law rarely targets. In a similar way H2L certainly highlights hypocrisy like this, Denzels flip on giving the money, how the police treat the rich family versus the poor one. But in the end, Nino Brown, the disadvantaged, is villian, and the cops are the heroes. In the end, ASAP is defeated and our hero and the films focus is on the powerful David King.
I've actually come around on New Jack CIty, when Nino Brown dies the white cop smiles, Ice T does not. He dosnt see the death as a win. He wanted to believe in law and order, that it would save people like him, but he doesn't get that. I think its as much of a criticism of the system as you can get in these type of Black crime films.
Trunks being such an important song to the movie and lowkey being kinda mid makes it funnier
Pack out the trunk from the front to the back,
Pack out the trunk from the front to the back.

Pack out the trunk from the front to the back,
Pack out the trunk from the front to the back.

He did a 1:1 of High 2 Low and it didn’t work
Should’ve switched some stuff up for the swag
Still haven’t watched this lol meant to go see it in theaters and lost the time
