congrats to everyone sold on TikTok meme's
enjoy your expensive airlines
Kinda sucks. Wife and I were planning a trip overseas and the Spirit prices were a good $100 cheaper than everything else. At least I’m glad we haven’t booked yet lol
It really is crazy what memes online have done to Spirit's reputation lol
In their three decades of operation they have never had a single plane crash, and has maintained a strong safety record. With the worst things that have happened to a few of their flights was engine failure that led to emergency landings. Something that happens with every airline/plane at some point.
American, United, and Delta experience multiple plane crashes yearly with varying severity, but people still willingly pay way more to fly with them despite the data saying they are more unsafe than Spirit.
The memes weren’t based in safety and crash rates, though. And people aren’t paying more or less because of crash rates. The memes and rate of pay is based on comfortability and customer service.

It's called branding. They couldn't keep up with the times. That s*** kills companies just as much as bad numbers
$100 baggage fee double any other airline
Knees slammed against the seat
Even water costs money on that b**** lmao
S*** was a scam you end up not even saving that much riding with them
Only ever brought my backpack traveling and I never had to pay those fees
I grew up with Steve Jobs, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Spirit Airlines. Now there's no jobs, no cash, no hope, and no spirit.
Please don't let anything happen to Kevin Bacon.

yeah cheap prices brought in extremely low class people who should have no business flying
my ass wouldn't be caught dead getting affordable tickets for this reason, ill pay extra because flying stressful. I want to be as comfortable I can if im gonna be stuck in some cabin 45k feet in the air
eat glass
An Indian guy saying no to p**** and now spirit shut down? What the hell is going on with our society
Yeah the Greyhound bout to become people’s best friend this summer.
Now THAT can be rough (but once again) if you sleep alot it aint that bad besides the occasional sitting next to someone that might as well have been made out of actual cigarettes
Went on a 30 hour bus ride back 10ish years ago. Definitely sketchy an not sure I’d do it again but hey ya do what ya gotta do.

Man I just flew business class Cathay Pacific for a 20 hour flight and one of these f***ers had their crying newborn baby wailing the entire flight
Why you taking a newborn on a 20 hour flight
Worst part is the dad had an OVO shirt might’ve been one of yall
Money ain’t buying class just get some noise canceling headphones and get on with it
truth is, domestic flights are more affordable than ever. Spirit no longer has monopoly over cheap flights. Also the conflict in the middle east isnt helping either with fuel prices.
the other airlines cover more distance, have more accessibility to resources and have international branches that increase business revenue.
So yea Spirit failed but its not because of the passengers being low class

Cheapest flight to jacksonville (a month out mind you) is $217
Last year that woulda been $125 brodie lmao
To be fair booking a flight a month out is extremely last minute lol, you’re always gonna pay a s*** ton
RIP
They never lost a single plane in their 33 years of existence but god dammit did that leg room suck ass
People should have the hate they had for Spirit and give it to Frontier, f*** those guys
Only ever brought my backpack traveling and I never had to pay those fees
Well obviously a back pack trip won’t cost
I work for a major airline, I appreciated them as the WalMart airline that kept our pricing honest and made our airline product look better lol. There needs to be a Spirit to keep the major carriers honest and it’s a shame this is happening. Trump only wanted to save it if he could profit fully from its eventual sale and the current investors said no. Not to mention his war led to oil price increases making it unsustainable for Spirit to continue. Feel worst for all of their employees and crew members out of a job, and if they find another airline job, they’ll have to start at the bottom in seniority. For really senior Flight attendants, that could be maybe a 70% pay cut. Just greed all around, hurting real people smh

Americans are stupid consumers, what's new?
