Instead of allowing the organization to sacrifice them to appease the Old Gods, they refuse to sacrifice themselves, leading to the Old Gods breaking out and essentially destroying the world.
Their reasoning was that it isn’t right that sacrifices had to happen in the first place, that keeping the forces at bay wasn’t worth manipulating and then sacrificing innocent people.
Do you agree with their reasoning, or do you say f*** those two for dooming all the rest of us?
Both sides are valid. Personally I’m more interested in the lore of the old gods and what havoc they would have brought. What they looked like etc.
Rich world but I’m glad it was a one and done at the same time
feel like they had earned the right to make that choice after everything that happened, and i dont really blame them for making that choice

The world gets destroyed aka the film gets trash reviews and is lost to history or only remembered negatively. They made the right choice because now we have "elevated horror" who's whole effort is break/reinvent those tropes.
Yes, because the whole movie up to that point was a flimsy premise to do cool stuff. The coolest thing you can do is bring the roof down
Were it a real scenario society itself would place value on being sacrificed and produce willing martyrs or at least a sturdier system for sacrificing them
