    U said Ak started it

You literally are ignoring the point. Dudes been dissing dead opps and all that, s*** been a thing probably even in the 90's. However, there wasn't anybody back then to hype it up for the masses like Ak does.

I mean he played a huge role in it thats just the facts. There’s a reason why a lot of people from Chicago don’t f*** with dude. He made others view what we see and go through on a daily seem exciting like a video game. Now we got little Zach in Idaho talking about how he GDK and got niggas wilding cause they know AK go report that and give free clout their way. If AK was just reporting on s*** normally or not even reporting at all, “fan” culture surrounding street rap wouldn’t be as problematic as it is.

You had niggas out the streets back in the day as well

the difference was managers, A&Rs, and the labels actually gave a f*** about their well being (for the most part) and did whatever they could to make sure nothing f***ed up their golden cow.

Because of things like soundcloud and spotify taking out the middleman, they're not caring as much. Which is astounding to me. To this day I still don't know how King Von's manager sleeps at night.

D'Angelo's manager drove him from Richmond, VA straight to California for rehab instead of going to the airport because he knew paparazi would be there taking pics of him cause this was when he was "fat D'Angelo" and knew how bad that s*** would've f***ed with him mentally.

Managers and A&Rs these days are not doing s*** like this.

yea there was 4sure dudes from the streets back in the day but street rap wasnt on the same scale nor was it as mainstream back then, i agree w the rest of your post

if a nigga did get picked up back then they got molded into a rapper but now they throwin money at any hood nigga w 100k plays on his songs, and them niggas cant leave they environments cuz it takes away from their “credibility”

Even KollegeKidd got most their clout at the time off covering Chicago (they Chicago based tho) and they weren’t sensationalizing wat was happenin

Pinning everythin on Ak not accurate or realistic, he fasho contributed and ate the most

Not a youtuber but WSHH and damn near every rap forum(where ak came from) were covering it heavily

It was also a focus of major news networks at the time

  • VeggieKubernetes

    Kollege Kidd?

Not the same tbh. Yeah they reported on what was happening but they didn’t report on it in a way it’s animated.

Okay I get what you mean now. I still say Ak deserves the most blame cause like AMAN said, he made it onto some reality tv type s***. He may not have originated it but like I said, he made it mainstream which imo is worse

I remember being on KTT back then and I didnt see too much of people following and wanting to know who dudes were unless theyade music, unlike today where the reddit niggas wanna know everybody including blockheads
