It’s not about them. Rappers used to act like gangsters it’s just now dudes who are actually thugs are just rapping.

Of course street s*** is still gonna go on whether Akademiks exists or not. However, he has an influence whether we like to admit that or not. If he's frequently talking about and putting on rappers who are involved in street/gang s***, lotta those dudes are gonna keep that s*** up in their music and even send it to him to promote. On top of that, Akademiks serves as a gateway for people into that world. It can be wannabe A&Rs, actual A&Rs, and of course goofy lil suburban kids and teens who think and treat this s*** like it's a game. The less light Akademiks shines on that kinda s***, the less you will see dumb niggas tryna imitate or get involved in it as a means to get on. And the less you'll see a demand for that kinda music and content.

That's only one part of the problem though. The other part of the problem starts getting more into socioeconomic s*** that falls more in the hands of politicians.
