actually pretty dope for previewing
like them 30 second album previews on headphone stands in music and book stores back in the day of the 2000s and early 2010s, just digital
dont see what the problem is - if anything it encourages people to check out a project or artist more thasn anything else instead of being standoffish from the "time sink" - now the time sink isnt there & its easier for people that get easily overwhelmed or get choice paralyze
these type of things have existed before streaming
even itunes had a snapshot shot preview of the album and/or single that would be a comp (for album) or starts in the middle of the song for 20ish seconds (for singles)
Interesting point but do ppl really scrub through the track in the same way they do on yt?
I imagine there would be spikes at some timestamps but not as strong.
A lot of the time on yt those spikes are cause of the comments too, which spotify doesnt have
i’m sure they record specific points where people skip or rewind a song tbh
Streaming farms gunna have a blast with this
Why is there an ad in the middle of your post lmfao S what is you doing

I been seeing ads like that for a while on here tbh I'm already used to it

They do keep track of thay data
They been keeping track of that kind of data since literally radio for songs (like how radio found out through their data that 3:30ish should be the max for a song with more focus on choruses to keep drivers more occupied thus this became the mainstream format amd "radio song" - as an example) , but now its even more precise
Its just not publically available for the most part
twin it’s over for artists idk @atthepyramids
ive been thinking about only checking new albums out by buying physical copies. digital just feels too easy to move on from and never let it sit but if i drop $30 on a vinyl im gonna listen to it 4+ times at least
Going back to apple music ngl spotify sucks even the music recommendations are fake ai artists
This is because Universal pulled their music from TikTok and they have a shareholder in Spotify
twin it’s over for artists idk @atthepyramids
my dreams kinda shattered twin
YouTube Music has it and it works so well with music videos though?
