So this tweet got me curious

As most know, Spotify has a free option, however it is riddled with ads, you cannot listen in order (on demand) and you only get 6 song skips a hour.

I decided to test if anything had changed or this was just some new marketing by making a new FREE account.

With the free account, I noticed that CLB played front to back with unlimited skits - and it wasn't the only album to do this.

It seems every album (I tested with Lil Baby's "My Turn") can be played using Spotify FREE and still be able to listen in order and unlimited skits...

Can some other people try and let us know? I am in Canada if that matters

Based on it being all albums, seems to me this is something Spotify did on their own accord to use Drake's hype to increase their user list.

I hope this doesn't hurt him in first week sales...
For those that don't know,

1250 paid streams = 1 Album unit
3750 free streams = 1 Album unit

EDIT 2: The accounts streaming the album are still free accounts - therefore it counts as a free stream NOT a paid stream

EDIT This seems to only be for new users, I had someone who has an existing free account try and all albums (including CLB) shuffled.

If they giving everyone premium wouldn’t it count as a paid stream… therefore INFLATING sales

no they're not giving everyone premium. the account is still free, it just has the premium perks

spotify tbh. i mean itll boost their user base, lets say 1/4 sign up for premium. itll definitley help them in long run

also not sure if theres ads, test it! i know theres no forced shuffle or limit on skips
