Neil Young's discography was partially bought by a company called hipgnosis whose parent company is called the blackstone group. That company has a senior advisor who is a former CEO of Pfizer

“Spotify says anyone who breaks the rules may have the content in question removed, with repeat offenders potentially having their accounts suspended or banned.”

I’m very confused by this. Spotify isn’t like Twitter where Joe Rogan is just posting stuff from his account on the platform. So the punishment would be to ban someone’s personal Spotify account but the show would stay?

A personal account on spotify isn’t the same thing as a content uploader account

I think they are saying they would ban the content uploader

For music that stuff is handled by the labels, I’m not sure who does it for podcasts tho Probably just some dude on rogan’s team

Why would the FORMER ceo of Pfizer give a shiy enough to make an old ass rock star who has always been outspoken on polítical issues say that . He got nothing to do with pfizer no more. Yea these CEO types end up in all types of investment companies and other corps

And also why would Neil young be at his and their behest ? He already sold his s*** he doesn't work for them

    So many dumb motherfuckers

This a man who made an album protesting the Iraq War and song called Let's impeach the president, he's a proud lib f*** and has been outspoken against Spotify before. Dumbass

Everything can be misinformation depending on your perspective tbh

Have a floating ticker at the bottom of the screen that reads, "The views expressed by this network may not be based in truth."

Makes sense, I didn’t really know that Spotify original content was released by accounts like that I just thought it was put out directly through Spotify somehow

and a quick google shows blackstone isn't a hipgnosis' parent company but theyve invested at least 1 billy into them. they are more than investors for sure.

u're incredibly naïve if you think these ties dont mean any anything

Yea Spotify should not even address this s*** at all. I bet the people complaining are less than 1% of their whole userbase and now Spotify is just giving more power to them

People forget these are corporations. They only care about their shareholders opinions. Hold them more accountable than their local gov
