I think it's because of the lack of superhero games this gen, really got fans thirsty for something.

New showcase looks better, I’m never gonna pay full price game with combat that looks like that

I get that you can’t have shadow of war, mad max, Arkham, Spider-Man, sleeping dogs style combat in a multiplayer, destiny style raid game but this s*** is just unsatisfying to even watch. The small like couple millisecond beat, buffer and slow between each hit during combat just looks like it plays bad

Wonder why they chose that studio to develop this, you would of thought an Avengers game in the MCU era would receive the best talent available to develop it.

I'm honestly disappointed they went with Square. They should've just gave it to Sony and Insomniac since they did a great job with Spider-Man.

I also hate that the team-up is happening before the solo games.

I think the reason that people think this game looks cheap is because of how much the MCU is ingrained into the minds of people nowadays.

It’s easier to adapt a Batman or Spider-Man to different mediums because people are very used to seeing different versions and iterations of those characters in movies and shows and whatnot.

However, with characters like the Avengers (specifically Iron Man, Cap, and Thor), most people are only used to the one portrayal of them by way of the MCU, so if they don’t look at the very least similar to their MCU counterparts in a video game, then it comes off as cheap and looks like a knockoff brand.

That doesn’t take away from other obvious problems that seem present in the game so far like frame rate issues and repetitive gameplay, but I don’t think that the look of the characters is something that should be looked at poorly.
